The emergence of Tropical Cyclone Dikeledi represents a significant meteorological event that followed its trajectory from the Indian Ocean towards Madagascar. After making landfall on January 13 in northern Madagascar, the cyclone caused severe rainfall and wind conditions, tragically resulting in the deaths of at least three individuals. The cyclone later moved south towards the French territory of Mayotte, where it induced further heavy rainfall, leading to flooding and displacing approximately 14,500 residents into emergency shelters.
