Russia Urges Dialogue to Address Violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo

Russia has called for dialogue to address the violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo, warning of possible escalation into regional conflict. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova emphasized the need for peace talks and the withdrawal of armed groups, particularly in response to the recent advances of the M23 rebel group in Goma.

On Friday, Russia reiterated its call for dialogue as the primary means to mitigate the violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
