Despite appearing injured, Bishop Bibi continued on to attend the Consecration Mass on March 1 following a brief medical evaluation performed after the incident. Following the Mass, all three individuals proceeded to Yaoundé for further medical attention.

The accident took place as they approached Yokadouma, prompting immediate concerns for their well-being. Fr. Michael Kengnjoh confirmed the details of the accident in a statement dated March 2, describing the circumstances and the Bishop’s subsequent actions after the mishap, emphasizing their resolve to continue despite the incident.
