The 11th Chinese Peacekeeping Infantry Battalion, in collaboration with the 12th Chinese medical team, conducted a free medical outreach for local villagers in South Sudan. Recently, the 11th Chinese Peacekeeping Infantry Battalion, alongside the 12th batch of the Chinese medical team to South Sudan, initiated a complimentary medical outreach program aimed at local villagers near their mission area. This initiative provided various medical consultations, including specialties in internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, ophthalmology, and otorhinolaryngology. Additionally, routine physical examinations and disease diagnosis services were offered to the community.

The medical professionals engaged with the villagers by educating them on preventing prevalent local diseases such as malaria, cholera, and monkeypox. Furthermore, they conducted essential on-site medical services, including blood pressure and blood sugar assessments, malaria parasite testing, wound dressing, and treatment for common ailments. This comprehensive outreach resulted in the treatment of 423 patients and the distribution of 1,097 pieces of medical supplies, garnering widespread praise from the local populace.

During the event, a Chinese peacekeeper was seen distributing throat lozenges to local children, while a doctor explained proper medication usage to a young villager. These efforts not only improved health awareness within the community but also fostered a positive relationship between the Chinese peacekeepers and the residents, highlighted by a group photo taken after the outreach.
