Rainfall is anticipated in Highland East Counties including Nairobi, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, and Tharaka Nithi from Saturday afternoon to Tuesday.

Counties such as Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet, and Nandi are expected to receive heavy rainfall from March 9 to March 12. Additional counties likely to experience similar conditions include Nakuru, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia, and West Pokot.

Contrarily, the North Eastern region, covering Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, and Isiolo, is projected to have sunny weather. The department has also noted that temperatures across most regions may exceed 30°C, except for Highland East of the Rift Valley, where temperatures will remain below this threshold. Moreover, strong southeasterly winds exceeding 25 knots are expected in specific areas of Northwestern and Northeastern Kenya.
