Cassandra Hove was a member of an all-female detective team known as Team Lozikeyi, named after the notable Ndebele queen. Following her death, Police Chief Commissioner General Stephen Mutamba extended his condolences to her family and mandated a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting, as stated by police spokesman Commissioner Paul Nyathi.

As of Friday, reports indicate that the suspect responsible for Hove’s death remains at large; however, authorities have apprehended three men suspected of being connected to the incident. These individuals are scheduled to appear in court on Saturday. The police have also initiated a public appeal for any information regarding the officer’s killing.

Born on November 5, 1990, in Mberengwa, Hove was a devoted mother to three daughters and a son. Friends revealed that she had aspirations of venturing into a career in banking, having recently acquired qualifications in forensic accounting, signaling her commitment to professional growth beyond her role in law enforcement.
