Subbarayudu Konanki emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating, “It’s four days, and if she was in water, she would likely have been strewn to shore.” He urged authorities to consider potential kidnapping or abduction scenarios.

Sudiksha was last seen near a beach close to her resort on March 6, just before dawn, as reported by Civil Defense officials. Various search efforts, including the use of drones, helicopters, and detection dogs, have been launched to locate her, following claims that she may have been swept away by large waves.

Upon learning of her disappearance, Sudiksha’s family, along with friends, traveled to Punta Cana and filed a formal complaint for authorities to explore additional possibilities beyond accidental drowning. The complaint notes that her phone and wallet were left with friends, which is atypical behavior for her.

In a written appeal, Subbarayudu requested urgent investigations into both accidental drowning and the possibility of foul play. Civil Defense spokesperson Jensen Sánchez stated the ongoing investigation suggests it may take over a week for a body to surface in warm waters, stressing that the search is primarily based on the presumption of drowning.

Sudiksha, a permanent US resident from Virginia, is being sought with the collaboration of several agencies, including the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office and federal officials. Her father noted that she was on a holiday with friends, seeking a pleasant break in Punta Cana.
