Luca Marini will test in Brazil after the Argentine Grand Prix, riding a Honda for the first time at the Termas de Río Hondo circuit. He expressed optimism for the weekend following a solid start to the 2025 season. After the grand prix, he will test at the Goiânia International Racetrack in preparation for its inclusion in the 2026 MotoGP calendar.
Luca Marini, the Italian MotoGP rider, will remain in South America following the Argentine Grand Prix to conduct tests in Brazil. He returns to the same circuit where he earned his inaugural MotoGP Sprint podium last season, although this time he will be riding a Honda instead of his usual Ducati. Marini experienced a strong initiation to the 2025 season while racing for the Honda HRC Castrol team, finishing 12th at the Thai Grand Prix.
In this upcoming Argentine Grand Prix, Marini will ride the Honda RC213V at the Termas de Río Hondo circuit. Reflecting on his prior experience, he expressed optimism for a successful weekend. “In Thailand we were able to accomplish a very good weekend overall, so now flying to Argentina I am optimistic we can continue in this way,” Marini remarked. He does not foresee any challenges in adapting to the Honda, crediting the comprehensive preparations made during the offseason to ensure the bike’s optimal setup.
Marini also looks forward to the tests in Brazil, scheduled after the Argentine event. He will be testing at the Goiânia International Racetrack Ayrton Senna, marking an important milestone as he will be the first active MotoGP rider to experience this venue ahead of its reintroduction to the MotoGP calendar in 2026. “After Argentina, I will go to Brazil for the first time to try the new track we will race at next year – an exciting trip!” he stated.
Luca Marini is poised for a promising weekend at the Argentine Grand Prix as he transitions to a new Honda bike. Following this event, he will test at the Goiânia International Racetrack in Brazil, enhancing his preparation for the 2026 season. His optimistic outlook reflects confidence in his team’s offseason efforts and his prior successes at similar venues.
