Walton has expanded its AC brand business by exporting commercial air conditioning units to Sri Lanka. The first shipment includes residential and commercial models, distributed by Monik Trading. According to Abdur Rouf, Vice-President of Walton Global Business Division, the inaugural shipment of both residential and commercial ACs was dispatched to Sri Lanka in the first week of the current month. The well-established Monik Trading Private Limited will manage sales and marketing of Walton ACs within the Sri Lankan market.
Md. Tanvir Rahman, Chief Business Officer of Walton AC, emphasized their commitment to growing the brand across diverse regions including Europe, America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. He stated, “There is a huge market for air conditioners in Sri Lanka. We have established sales, marketing and after-sales service facilities to create a strong market position in Sri Lanka.” He expressed confidence that the quality and advanced technology of Walton ACs will gain the trust of consumers in Sri Lanka swiftly.
Walton manufactures its air conditioning units at its advanced facility in Chandra, Gazipur. The plant focuses on environmentally friendly and energy-efficient products, including cassette, ceiling, chiller, and VRF air conditioners. Walton ACs incorporate innovative features such as frost clean, air plasma, and intelligent control, and utilize eco-friendly R-290 gas in their compressors. Furthermore, these products undergo rigorous quality control, receiving certification from the accredited testing laboratory NASDAT-UTS before entering local and international markets.
