BYD Seagull Launches in Morocco with Two Driving Range Options

BYD has introduced the Seagull in Morocco, featuring two models with 230 km and 300 km driving ranges. The vehicle supports rapid charging and offers advanced safety and connectivity features. Recently, the BYD Seagull was officially introduced to the Moroccan market, providing consumers with two distinct versions. Both variants are equipped with BYD’s pioneering blade batteries, which deliver impressive driving ranges of 230 km and 300 km, respectively. Notably, the vehicle can be charged from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes under DC fast charging conditions.

Since commencing operations in Morocco in July 2023, BYD has successfully launched six passenger vehicle models, including the Han, Tang, Yuan PLUS, Song PLUS, Seal, and now, the Seagull. This expansion underscores BYD’s commitment to introducing innovative electric vehicles to diverse markets.

During the press conference, Adil Bennami, General Manager of BYD’s local partner Auto Nejma, remarked, “This electric vehicle, specifically designed for urban scenarios, perfectly integrates cutting-edge technology with practical design, continuously demonstrating the concept of improving life through technological innovation.” The Seagull stands out in Morocco’s new energy sector due to its robust body structure, inclusion of up to six safety airbags, a 10.1-inch adaptive rotating screen, and a state-of-the-art connectivity system that supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
