On the day of the crime, Muskan reportedly drugged Saurabh’s food to incapacitate him before jointly stabbing him with Sahil. The couple had previously attempted to murder Saurabh on February 25, but he remained conscious, prompting their second, successful attempt. They initially planned to discard his body parts discreetly but ultimately decided to conceal them in a blue drum filled with cement and sand.

Following the murder, Muskan and Sahil took a trip to Himachal Pradesh, visiting Manali, Kasol, and Shimla, while Saurabh’s body remained at their home. Muskan’s parents expressed profound shock and called for severe consequences, including the death penalty, for their daughter and Sahil. Her father stated, “Such a person does not deserve to walk the earth.”

Both Muskan and Sahil were later apprehended, with police presenting them to the media amid chaos during a court appearance where lawyers attempted to confront them. Authorities are also examining claims that Sahil introduced Muskan to drugs, intensifying the investigation into the case.
