TATA.ev and Allied Motors Launch Electric Vehicle Collection in Mauritius

TATA.ev has launched its EV collection in Mauritius through a partnership with Allied Motors, introducing models including the Tiago.ev, Punch.ev, and Nexon.ev. This initiative marks the company’s first foray beyond the SAARC region, with a strong focus on sustainable mobility supported by government initiatives. TATA.ev, a subsidiary of Tata Motors, has launched its electric vehicle (EV) collection in Mauritius, collaborating with Allied Motors, the nation’s premier automobile distributor. This introduction includes the Tiago.ev, Punch.ev, and Nexon.ev models, all engineered with high-voltage platforms to enhance terrain response, safety, comfort, and reduce maintenance needs.

Yash Khandelwal, the Head of International Business at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., indicated that this initiative is TATA.ev’s first expansion outside the SAARC region. He emphasized Mauritius’ government’s commitment to sustainable mobility, which positions the country as a crucial market within their EV strategy.

James Ngan, the Managing Director of Allied Motors, remarked that the new TATA.ev models address the increasing demand for sustainable and innovative mobility solutions in Mauritius. The focus is on power, efficiency, and cutting-edge technology. Furthermore, Allied Motors will offer extensive after-sales support to enhance the customer experience.

The TATA.ev lineup features the Tiago.ev, which offers a range of 190-210 km and supports fast charging in under one hour. The Punch.ev, a compact SUV, has a range of 270-290 km and is equipped with advanced infotainment and safety features. Meanwhile, the Nexon.ev, an electric SUV, boasts a range of 350-375 km and includes various technologically advanced attributes, such as a 360° camera system.

Each model is backed by an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty on the battery and motor, in addition to complimentary home charging equipment. Allied Motors is committed to delivering professional sales and after-sales service to enhance the overall ownership experience.
