Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi and Slovenia’s Parliamentary Speaker Urska Klakocar Zupancic have unequivocally rejected the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza. They both support the establishment of a Palestinian state as a crucial step toward enduring regional peace. During their discussions in Cairo, Sisi emphasized that establishing a Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, is essential for achieving stability.

In addition to their stance on statehood, President Sisi informed Zupancic about Egypt’s ongoing efforts to mediate a renewed ceasefire in Gaza.
