Some witnesses indicated that the vigilantes might have tried to stop the trailer, while others suggested a minibus had initially knocked them down before the trailer ran over them. “It was horrifying. The trailer didn’t even slow down. One of the men had his head crushed instantly,” recalled a roadside vendor who witnessed the shocking event. “People screamed, but the driver just kept going.”
