The overall car sales landscape in South Africa has also seen a notable year-on-year growth of 22% as of May, with total new vehicle sales hitting 45,308 units. Interestingly, dealerships have played a pivotal role, driving at least eight in ten sales. According to the Automotive Business Council, this buoyancy in the market can largely be attributed to a period of relatively stable economic fundamentals experienced earlier in the year, creating an environment ripe for growth in the automotive sector.
