Shakira has announced two additional dates for her concert tour in Mexico, bringing her total to 28 performances. This includes one performance at Estadio GNP Seguros and another in Veracruz. The tour has topped Billboard’s rankings and continues to set records in ticket sales and attendance.

Shakira has made waves once again, announcing on June 19 two additional dates for her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour in Mexico. Scheduled for Sept. 18, the first concert will be held at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City, while the second performance on Sept. 24 marks her debut in Veracruz at the Estadio Luis Pirata Fuente. With these new shows, she sets a remarkable new record of 28 concerts in Mexico for a single tour.

The promoter OCESA declared her as the artist with the most performances at the renowned Estadio GNP Seguros following this announcement. “With the announcement of this new date, the Colombian singer solidifies herself as the artist with the most concerts at the iconic Estadio GNP Seguros,” the press release stated.

In her Instagram post, Shakira expressed her joy, saying, “My beautiful Mexico! 12 shows at Estadio GNP! Thank you, thank you, and thank you again for continuing to break records with me. See you soon. I love you!!” The post included a picture of her holding a plaque from OCESA honoring her achievements.

The next phase of her tour in Mexico kicks off on Aug. 11 at Estadio Caliente in Tijuana, with several dates lined up across different cities, including Hermosillo, Chihuahua, and Torreón. Following her historic run of seven sold-out performances at Estadio GNP Seguros, Shakira is set to take the stage in Mexico City again on Aug. 26, 27, 29, and 30, plus Sept. 18, bringing her total to 12 shows there.

As part of her record-setting tour, Shakira will also match Grupo Firme’s record of eight shows at Estadio GNP Seguros, with the band scheduled to perform their eighth show on June 28. The recent surge in ticket sales has prompted Shakira to keep adding show dates to accommodate her fans.

Notably, Shakira achieved a significant milestone this year, topping Billboard’s monthly Top Tours ranking for the first time. Reports indicated an impressive $32.9 million earned with 282,000 tickets sold in February alone. The following month, she shattered records in March with $70.6 million earned from 11 shows—the highest for any artist in the month since the ranking began in 2019.

The Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour has drawn over one million fans, leaving a profound impact on Latin America. Shakira’s artistry was recognized as she ranked No. 1 in Billboard’s list of the Best 50 Female Latin Pop Artists of All Time, solidifying her legacy in the music industry.

Shakira continues to break barriers with her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, now featuring a total of 28 performances in Mexico. Her remarkable achievements not only highlight her popularity but also her status as a leading figure in the Latin music scene. Records are continuously being shattered, indicating a thriving demand for her performances across the continent, as evidenced by her historic earnings and fan turnout.
