Residents in the area reported feeling the tremor; however, there have been no reports of casualties or property damage as of now.

This earthquake follows a series of mild seismic activity in Egypt last year, which also did not result in significant damage. Although Egypt is not situated on a prominent seismic fault line, it can experience low to moderate seismic events, particularly in regions such as the Gulf of Suez and South Sinai, due to its proximity to tectonic plate boundaries.
