He mentioned that there are offers conditional upon the non-imprisonment of Bakiyev and Sapar Isakov, emphasizing the need to investigate cases involving public funds, including the Bishkek Heating and Power Plant and other financial misappropriations.

He mentioned that returning these individuals could shed light on significant financial inquiries, potentially aiding the recovery of billions misappropriated from the state budget. Japarov expressed regret over the ongoing public demand for their return, acknowledging that they could officially interrogate former leaders for accountability.

“Those who spread false information probably heard about these negotiations. So they decided to spread rumors about Maxim Bakiyev. How good it would be if he really came! We would put him in jail, and the billions would return to the budget,” concluded President Japarov, underscoring the importance of transparency and accountability in governance.
