Connected Minerals Appoints Hammerstein Drilling for First Exploration Program

Connected Minerals has appointed Hammerstein Drilling to undertake its first drilling program at the Etango North-East and Swakopmund projects in Namibia. The program will commence in April, covering 2,500 meters across 33 holes. Initial efforts will target high-priority areas identified from previous surveys.

Connected Minerals (ASX:CML) has engaged Namibian contractor Hammerstein Drilling to initiate its first reverse circulation reconnaissance drilling program at the Etango North-East and Swakopmund projects in Namibia. This program is set to commence in April and will involve 33 drill holes over a total of 2,500 meters, with 2,000 meters allocated to the Etango North-East site and 450 meters for Swakopmund.

The initial focus will be on Etango North-East, where high-priority targets have been identified following a rock chip sampling program completed in December 2024. Following the completion of drilling activities at this site, the team will redirect efforts towards the Swakopmund project, concentrating on targets that were revealed through a recent horizontal-loop electromagnetic survey.

Warrick Clent, the CEO of Connected Minerals, emphasized the significance of collaborating with Hammerstein Drilling, marking a pivotal moment in the company’s operational timeline. He stated, “The commencement of drilling will be a major milestone for Connected Minerals and will build on the encouraging targets we have identified at both projects during our field work to date.”

Clent further expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming drilling operations, which are set to begin just four months after the company’s relisting, indicating an optimistic outlook for substantial developments in the near future.

Hammerstein Drilling, located in Swakopmund, brings considerable experience in conducting reverse circulation drilling for various mining explorers across Namibia, Angola, and other locations worldwide. Connected Minerals is an Australian mineral explorer concentrating on uranium and maintains an asset portfolio situated in Namibia and Western Australia.

Connected Minerals has successfully appointed Hammerstein Drilling to commence its inaugural drilling program, a significant milestone for the company. With an emphasis on high-priority targets identified through earlier surveying methods, the program aims to harness the exploration potential in both the Etango North-East and Swakopmund projects. The collaboration is anticipated to yield promising results shortly, contributing to the company’s growth in the mineral exploration sector.
