After the crash, Superintendent Minto was initially treated at the Black River Hospital before being transferred to the University Hospital of the West Indies. He has since been released on Monday after undergoing several medical tests and is currently on sick leave.
The driver of the Nissan pickup, identified as Dwight Parchment from Myersville district, has been charged with careless driving causing a collision. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 11 in Santa Cruz regarding this matter.
