Allegations Against Ghanaian Officials: Kevin Taylor’s Protection Exposed

During a broadcast on March 18, 2025, he identified Dr. Edward Omane Boamah (Minister of Defence), Mohammed-Mubarak Muntaka (Minister of Interior), and Abdul Razak Osman (National Security Coordinator) as aiding the US-based journalist, who is currently wanted by the courts.

Adom-Otchere asserted that these officials allegedly utilized state resources to provide protection and assistance to Taylor to navigate within Ghana despite the presence of a bench warrant for his arrest, which was issued due to his disparaging remarks against the judicial system. Allegedly, National Security vehicles and operatives were involved in ensuring Taylor’s safety.

He expressed concern over the officials’ actions in light of the nation’s legal framework, emphasizing, “If we are going to build a country of laws, then these are the men that I’m worried about… facilitating this fugitive from justice”. Additionally, he raised issues related to the enforcement of the court’s orders, suggesting that the officials failed to uphold the rule of law and allowed Taylor to evade legal consequences.

Adom-Otchere further detailed the specific vehicles used in Taylor’s movements, including a black Toyota and a Hilux, both reportedly assigned to the National Security apparatus. He stated, “These are National Security vehicles owned by you, the taxpayer, put at the disposal of a fugitive from justice.” He highlighted the apparent disregard for the law in allowing Taylor to move around Cape Coast freely.

Drawing a comparison to the Montie Three case, Adom-Otchere questioned why Taylor, considered a fugitive, could freely operate under state security while others faced imprisonment for similar actions.
